Dylan is the Field Test Editor at Trail Built. He covers the camp-side of overlanding: the fridges, solar systems, water filtration, rooftop tents, and power management that determine whether a multi-day trip is comfortable or miserable. His testing is done on actual trips — not in a garage — which means he evaluates gear under the conditions that matter: variable sun, cold nights, dusty roads, and limited time to troubleshoot.
